Warning Unhoused Individuals on the streets about the upcoming storm.
A historical Level 5 Storm crept towards Antioch, which is expected to make landfall at 5:00 am Wednesday morning on January 4, 2023.
The city is prepared for hazardous conditions including flooding, down trees, power outages, and mud/rockslides.
The city called for Antioch residents to stay home Wednesday, if possible, and has requested that non-essential city employees work remotely.
Unhoused residents could take refuge inside either of the City’s Community Centers— Nick Rodriguez and Prewett Ranch, respectively. Community Centers opened at 8:00 am. Hours were extended beyond 5:00 pm and later extended to overnight.
