Our fun in the sun picnic was a success!!

Our first annual fun in the sun picnic was held at the City Park in Antioch where approximately 70 people attended. It was truly a family affair.

Fun In The Sun Picnic

We had multiple volunteers show up to serve food, snacks, dessert and drinks. They also organized and ran the game stands, managed the donated clothing areas, passed out raffle tickets and prizes, greeted guests, set up the event and cleaned up after the event.

Our homeless community came from all over the city. They enjoyed games such as the extra large jenga game, the potato sack race, the limbo game, the extra large checker game and the dunk tank that we brought to the park. They enjoyed food, drinks and good conversation. There was a variety of different music that they danced to and enjoyed.

The homeless community came together to help set up and take down after the event. They were extremely helpful and appreciative. We cant wait until next year when we can do it all over again.
